The 2021 movie release of Judas and the Black Messiah was inspired by the actual events of Chairman Fred Hampton, his work as Chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party, and his untimely assassination by the FBI and Chicago Police Department. The film received critical acclaim and won numerous awards at the Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actor and Best Original Song.

To accompany the film's box office release, we created an interactive education guide to provide a more nuanced understanding of the Black Panther Party's efforts and impact (domestically and abroad) during the party's active years and included a foreword from Fred Hampton Jr.
